The 2014-2015 Lunar Tetrad:  What is it and What Does it Mean?

Not only astrologers and astronomers, but sociologists, historians and theologians, are taking a great interest in an unusual series of upcoming celestial occurrences that has been referred to as, the "Lunar Tetrad," and also, "The Four Blood Moons."  Pastor John Hagee wrote a New York Times bestselling book about this subject, Four Blood Moons:  Something is About to Change.  This important subject deserves detailed analysis, whether or not you have read the book, or agree with the author.

All Eclipses are not Equal:  Types of Eclipses

There are two types of eclipses:  Solar (New Moon, when the Moon is between the Sun and the Earth) and Lunar (Full Moon, when the Earth is between the Sun and the Moon).  There are three types of lunar eclipses:  penumbral, partial and total.  A penumbral lunar eclipse is when the Earth's outer shadow, or penumbra, falls on the Moon, and is the least dramatic.  Penumbral eclipses are often mistaken for Full Moons because the create the least visible effect.  A partial lunar eclipse is when part of the Earth's inner shadow, or umbra, falls on only a part of the Moon, as though the Earth is taking a bite out of the Moon.  A total eclipse is when the Earth's umbra completely covers the Moon, i.e., when the Sun, Moon and Earth are exactly aligned.  It is during the total lunar eclipse that the Moon appears to turn dirty red due to refracted sunlight cast on it from the Earth (which is why it is called the "Blood Moon").  The "Blood Moon" implies bloodshed, and world conflict would thus seem inevitable.  For more information on the "Blood Moon," please visit the websites from which I gathered this information:; and

Why the Lunar Tetrad is Special

What makes the upcoming celestial alignments between the Sun and Moon so special is that all four "Blood" eclipses fall right after the respective 2014 and 2015 Equinoxes.  To be more precise, the "Lunar Tetrad" is an occurrence of four (tetra) total lunar eclipses that occur shortly after the Spring and Autumnal Equinoxes in 2014 and 2015, as follows:

Total lunar eclipse: April 15 - Sun Aries; Moon Libra
Total lunar eclipse: October 8 - Sun Libra; Moon  Aries

Total lunar eclipse: April 4 - Sun Aries; Moon Libra

Total lunar eclipse: September 28 - Sun Libra; Moon Aries

I.  How the First of the Four Lunar Tetrads Could Affect the World

The first lunar eclipse in the series occurs on April 15, 2014 at 7:42 GMT at 24-degrees Aries/Libra emphasizes the near-perfection of the Cardinal Grand Cross on April 21 between Mars in Libra (sign of its detriment), Jupiter in Cancer (sign of its exaltation), Uranus in Aries and Pluto in Capricorn.  The Cardinal Grand Cross directly affects world government and the weather.  Watch for a big "correction" in the world stock markets.  Danger in the East is a continued likelihood and probable focus of the upheaval of this powerful alignment, which is also pounding the world with bad weather.  Since the previous New Moon at nine degrees Aries on March 30, 2014, the world has been hammered by Nature, including, but not limited to, the continuation of the worst winter season in years and the following seismic/volcanic occurrences:

3/28 - 5.1 earthquake ("EQ") in Los Angeles, California

3/30 - 4.8 EQ in Yosemite, Wyoming (332 EQs total in March)

3/31 - 5.2 EQ in New Zealand; 5.6 EQ in New Guinea; and 5.5 EQ in Chile

4/1 - 8.2 EQ on Tarapaca Coast, Chile

4/2 - 5.6 EQ in Honshu; 6 EQ south of Panama

         4/3 - 6.3 EQ in Tarapaca, Chile

4/4 - Violent eruption of "Throat of Fire" (Tungurahua) volcano in Ecuador

4/4 - 5.7 EQ in S. Greece; 6 in the Solomon Islands; and 6.2 in Tarapaca, Chile

         4/7 - 5.0 in France; 5.7 in Tarapaca, Chile

         4/8 - 5.6 in Tarapaca, Chile

         4/9 - 5.2 in Tarapaca, Chile

         4/10 - 6.1, Nicaragua

         4/11 - 6.1, Tarapaca, Chile; 5.6, 6.5 & 7.2 in Papua New Guinea; 6.6 Nicaragua

         4/12 - 6.1 - Solomon Islands, 6.2 and 7.8 - Solomon Islands

         4/13 - 7.6 - Solomon Islands

One wonders if the Australian winter (June to August) will be as bad as the Western one, or will the diminishing effects of the Grand Cross mean a more moderate winter there.  Perhaps the bad weather plaguing the Earth now will have abated by summer and the fading of the transiting Grand Cross, combined with transiting Jupiter's entry into Leo.  Bad weather seems to go in cycles and we seem to be at the peak of a bad weather cycle now.  A convincing case has been made correlating Sunspot activity with weather on Earth.  Sunspot activity peaks every eleven years, which seems to correspond with generational weather trends that peak and then abate.  For example, in Florida in the 1990's, there was a decade-long assault by El Niņo that has since abated.  In 1950's Connecticut, the winters were heavy and snow towered over my grandmother, but that condition waned just like El Niņo.  The last Sunspot peak in 2013 was said to be the weakest in 100 years, but there may be a rebound here due to the influence of the Cardinal Grand Cross.

When violent Sunspot activity coincides with other planetary alignments, like the current Cardinal Grand Cross, then you have exacerbating conditions, a double whammy.  With respect to the April 15 Full Moon/total lunar eclipse, it occurs in Cardinal Aries/Libra (coinciding with Uranus and Mars in the Cardinal Cross) and wants conflict to put things in balance.  There are always conflicts between people and nations on Earth, but celestial influences can increase the pressure.  The April 2014 eclipse has R Mars in Libra ticking towards opposition with Uranus in Aries.  It would seem inevitable that, under these conditions, heads will roll and conflict of a serious nature (like war) may break out suddenly just before Easter.  Since Mars is moving towards opposition with Uranus in Aries, and Mars rules Aries, the Sun sign of the first Lunar Tetrad, one would expect countries with Mars in Aries might be the most strongly affected by this planetary alignment.  A review of world horoscopes (see Accurate World Horoscopes by Doris Chase Doane, which is published by the American Federation of Astrologers) indicates that the following countries have the planet Mars in Aries:

         the Bahamas

Three of these ten countries are in the Middle East and three are in Africa, so six out of ten countries are in geopolitical hotspots.  Aries rules the head, so it would seem logical that the head of the Mars Aries country would attack the head of the Sun Libra country.  A review of Doane's Accurate World Horoscopes reveals that the following countries have the Sun in Libra:

         Saudi Arabia

         Yemen Arab Republic

Certainly, from a political standpoint, when there is so much Aries activity involved it is a "no-brainer" that war is likely to break out on Earth in the locations most affected by the Full Moon.  The show is about to begin, so get ready for world change.  Expect corrections.

How the First of the Four  Lunar Tetrads Could Affect Individuals

On a personal level, the Grand Cross strongly affects people with the Sun, Moon, or planets in Cardinal signs, especially the thirteenth degree.  There is the feeling of being at a crossroads.  There can be the urge to revisit all the people who have crossed us in life, and make a choice to forgive and forget or carry a grudge.  There is a bridge that needs to be crossed, but something prevents it, like indecision and/or fear.  The good thing about the Cardinal Cross being at its peak is that it will be separating soon and waning in its influence, but not in time to avoid the first eclipse of the Lunar Tetrad on April 15.  Fasten your seat belts and hold on for the ride, stargazers.  On May 20, Mars goes direct, followed by Jupiter's entry into Leo in July, so relief is coming soon.

The Second Total Eclipse of the 2014 - 2015 Lunar Tetrad

The second total eclipse of the 2014 - 2015 Lunar Tetrad occurs on October 8, 2014 at 10:51 a.m. GMT at 14-degrees Libra/Aries.  Since the last total eclipse at 25-degrees Aries/Libra on April 15, 2014, there has been an escalation of tension all over the world, including the Scottish independence movement in Great Britain; renewed war in Iraq by the US (note:  the first invasion occurred in 2003, the year of the first of eight tetrads this century); continued turmoil in the Ukraine; labor unrest over the minimum wage and equal pay for equal work; an uneasy stock market and struggling job market; and the Ferguson riots here in the US.  The week after the August Virgo New Moon (which occurred on 8/25/14) was notable for a surge in major earthquakes and volcanic eruptions, including:

         8/26 - 5.7 earthquake in Bardarbunga, Iceland

8/29 - eruption of Bardarbunga Volcano, Iceland

8/29 - eruption of Mt. Tavurvar in Papua New Guinea

8/30 - 5.1 earthquake in Fairbanks, Alaska, USA

         8/31 - 6.0 earthquake, Peshawar, Pakistan

8/31 - eruption of Holuhraun Volcano, Iceland

These were preceded by a major earthquake in China (on 8/3:  6.1 in Hunan Province) and a major earthquake in the San Francisco area (on 8/24:  6.1, Napa Valley).  On September 4, 2014, a state of emergency was declared at Kilauea Volcano, Hawaii, USA; and a major Solar Flare occurred the next week on 9/12 and 9/13/14, creating electronic disturbances of all kinds and spectacular auroral displays.  The Libra New Moon on 9/24 corresponded with a 6.1 earthquake in Anchorage Alaska on 9/25 and the eruption of Mt. Ontake on 9/27.  Expect another peak of seismic and volcanic activity during the week after the Capricorn New Moon on December 22, 2014.  Watch the Cascade Mountains in the Pacific Northwest of the USA for volcanic eruptions and the Ring of Fire in Japan and the Philippines for earthquakes.

At present, the tensions on Earth seem to be abating somewhat, the influence of Sun Libra at work aided by Mercury Retrograde, which is a time to slow down and go back over things.  In addition, the tension could be easing off temporarily until December because of a mitigating Transiting Jupiter Grand Trine.

The Grand Trine:  Political Strife Temporarily Eases

With the Sun in Libra, the sign of harmony, balance and relationships; and a helpful Transiting Leo Jupiter Grand Trine to Transiting Mars in Sagittarius and the Transiting Moon conjunct Uranus in Aries, political tensions are likely to simmer rather than boil over like they did this summer.  For example, England has gotten past the threat of Scottish secession; there is an uneasy truce in Israel (at the time of this writing, 9/30); and the influence of the divisive Tea Party has been considerably reduced here in the USA.  The tension will probably build up again once Jupiter goes Retrograde and Uranus goes Direct in December, 2014, leading into the third eclipse on April 4, 2015.  The countries that could be most affected by the renewed strife at the end of this year are likely those with the Sun and Mars in Libra and/or Aries, especially the last decanate, for example:

Iraq - Mars at 25-Aries (Jupiter at 22-Libra) (Potential Aggressor)

Israel - Ascendant at 23-Libra (Potential target)

Libya - Moon at 29-Libra; Neptune at 21-Libra; Saturn at 14-Libra; Mars at 16-Libra (Sneaking around in the background, looking for trouble, potential participant/combatant)

Saudi Arabia - Sun at 0-Libra; MC at 2-Libra; Uranus at 22-Aries - (Observer for now, but potential surprise participant/combatant)

South Africa - MC at 29-Aries; Moon at 12-Libra; Mars, Jupiter, Mercury, Venus at 25, 27, 28 & 29-Libra (Potential mediator, but self-serving)

Syria - Sun at 5-Libra; Mars at 28-Libra; and Aries MC at 14-degrees (Aggressor)

Turkey - Mars at 7-Libra; Mercury/Saturn at 24-Libra (Potential mediator)

The Pluto T-Square:  Corporate Reform

On October 8, 2014, there are three astrological configurations, a T-Square, a Grand Trine and a Yod.  During the First Eclipse of the Tetrad in April, we were still under the influence of the Cardinal Grand Cross that caused so much upheaval in the world.  Leftover from the recent Grand Cross is a Capricorn Pluto T-Square to the Sun and Moon.  This underscores the need for transformation, especially because Pluto has recently gone direct (as of 9/22).  Capricorn is the sign of the administrator, manager, executive and entrepreneur.  Pluto rules the corporate world, and change is long overdue in the way corporations are structured and do business, at least here in America.  Look for major changes in this area as part of the total effect of the Tetrad, as there is a Pluto T-Square in each of the four eclipses.  Keep in mind that although Pluto can eradicate with violent efficiency, he replaces and transforms what he destroys.

Pluto also rules atomic energy and the human race has to face the challenge of disposing of our nuclear pollution.  There are places on Earth so polluted by nuclear waste that they are permanently uninhabitable, like Chernobyl, Three Mile Island, Fukushima, and the original site of the Manhattan project.  Our future depends on finding a way of neutralizing nuclear pollution.  Perhaps it could be recycled in some way.

The Chiron Yod:  Religious Tolerance

A Voice of Reason:  Pope Francis

Connecting the T-Square and Grand Trine is a Retrograde Pisces Chiron Yod at fourteen-degrees Pisces (the same degree and sign as the Moon's Perigee on October 6), to Leo Jupiter and the Sun in Libra.  The Yod is a painful configuration that is a driving force in the horoscope and an indication that there is pressure to live up to a special purpose.  The Yod is sometimes called the "Eye of God," or, "The Finger of Fate."  Chiron, the Wounded Healer, is the planet of suffering and redemption through suffering.  His motto is:  The Gift is in the Wound.  Transiting Chiron is in Pisces, the sign of the fish, which was also an early symbol of Christianity.  Jupiter rules priests and religion and is the co-ruler of Pisces.  Resolution of religious conflict is one of the key issues of the 21st century.  Much of the military conflict in the world today is over religious disagreement.  The Transiting Chiron Yod is like a divine command for humans to stop killing each other over their personal relationship with the Creator.  It is insane to kill over religious beliefs, a violation of the first, and arguably most important of, the Ten Commandments, but nevertheless, rivers of blood have been shed over the issue of how human beings relate to God.

Pope Francis:  A Voice of Reason

We are in transition from the Age of Pisces to the Age of Aquarius.  It is time to get over religious differences.  The current leader of the Catholic Church, Pope Francis, is a voice of reason and wisdom in the chaotic transition from fundamentalism to secular tolerance that is taking place in human society.  He sets a fine example for any human being to follow, choosing simplicity over opulence; compassion over power; and the social outcast over the superstar.  His horoscope is powerful and resonates with the Chiron Yod in the October 8, 2014 eclipse chart.  He has a Grand Cross and a Grand Trine in his horoscope, both involving the planetoid Chiron.  His Grand Cross is populated with the signs traditionally associated with religion and spirituality:  His Sun is in the sign of the spiritual guru, Sagittarius; and his Saturn is in the sign of organized religion, Pisces.  His Natal Saturn is in the eighth house at sixteen-degrees Pisces, thus the Transiting Chiron Yod is applying by two degrees to his Saturn.  Transiting Saturn enters the Pope's Sun Sign, Sagittarius, this December, further emphasizing his potential role in addressing challenges to the structure and philosophy of organized religion.  It is possible that he could be an active participant in the drama to come in the Middle East next summer after the third of the four eclipses in the Tetrad (which occurs on April 4, 2015) .  This could be done in secret (Pisces rules the 12th house of secrets, secret enemies and hidden things).  The Sun at fifteen-degrees Libra in the October 8, 2014 chart is applying to the Pope's Natal Mars at nineteen-degrees Libra.  Could he be the initiator of a viable peace plan in the Middle East?  Jupiter, the planet that rules his Sun-sign, Sagittarius, is quintile his Natal Mars and Saturn, indicating that the Pope might come up with a creative solution to quell the endless quarreling over minute differences in how individuals relate to God and help quench the relentless, needless bloodshed over religious protocol.

Pisces Chiron in Yod formation foreshadows a possible sacrificial lamb in this scenario, with Pope Francis a potential candidate.  He has a Grand Cross from the Sun at 25-degrees Sagittarius to Saturn at 16-degrees Pisces to Retrograde Chiron at 20-degrees Gemini to Neptune at 18-degrees Virgo.  Pope Francis has stated that he only expects to live for two to three more years -- If he truly believes this (and I hope he is wrong), he would surely want to get the most out of his remaining time on Earth.  From an astrological standpoint, I believe it is likely that he will play an important role in the coming crisis in the Middle East during the Summer of 2015, particularly August.

The Third Total Eclipse of the 2014 - 2015 Lunar Tetrad

"There's battle lines being drawn, nobody's right if everybody's wrong."

"For What It's Worth"  Buffalo Springfield, 1966

The third total eclipse of the 2014-2015 Lunar Tetrad occurs on April 4, 2015 12:06 a.m. GMT at 13-degrees Aries/Libra.  For those of us who follow the Moon, these are exciting, if troubled times.  Astronomers and astrologers alike have been studying the 2014-2015 Lunar Tetrad with great interest.  What is a Lunar Tetrad?  According to NASA, it is four consecutive, total lunar eclipses.  Per EarthSky, a site that Sister Ray highly recommends, they are separated from each other by six lunar months, with no partial lunar eclipses in between.  To give you an idea of how rare this is, according to NASA's Eclipse Website, there are only eight Lunar Tetrads in this Century:

First Tetrad:                 2003-2004
Second Tetrad:            2014-2015

Third Tetrad:               2032-2033

Fourth Tetrad:             2043-2044

Fifth Tetrad:                2050-2051

Sixth Tetrad:               2061-2062

Seventh Tetrad:           2072-2073

Eighth Tetrad:             2090-2091

Since the last Tetrad Eclipse on October 6, 2014, there have been many dramatic events in the world.  The evidence of climate change is now before us with one of the Northeastern U.S.'s worst winters in memory; milky rain in the Pacific Northwest; earthquake swarms in Nevada; the fourth most powerful cyclone in history in Vanuatu; a cluster of seven earthquakes over magnitude five from February 25 to March 6, 2015; record low ice in the Arctic Sea; and global rise in sea levels.  The political world is as ugly as ever, with gridlock and hatred in Washington, D.C., and continued violence in the Middle East and Russia.

The current Tetrad has apparently opened old, unhealed wounds from the First Tetrad in 2003-2004, which coincided with the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars.  Religious and political strife seem to be the focus of the 2014-2015 Tetrad, just as they were in the first one.  Both the 2014 and 2015 Spring eclipses coincide with Passover, the beautiful Jewish celebration of emancipation.  If this Tetrad means anything, I believe it is the emancipation of humanity from religious intolerance.  The best interests of the human race call for the resolution of religious strife and establishment of mutual respect among human beings for their differing beliefs and ways of acknowledging the Creator.  I believe that it will probably take most of the Millennium to resolve these issues.  Change is slow.

Pope Francis

The two central lunations in the 2014-2015 Lunar Tetrad (10/8/14 and 4/4/15), have the same group configurations.  Battle lines are being drawn and they fall into place in the final eclipse on 9/28/15.  Just as there is an echo of the 2003-2004 Tetrad in the current one, there is also an echo of the second eclipse on  October 8, 2014 in the current eclipse, as they both have the same three group aspects:  a Yod, a Grand Trine, and a T-Square.  The 4/4/15 Yod, which culminates shortly prior to sunrise in London on April 4, 2015, is from Pisces Neptune to Retrograde Leo Jupiter and the Moon in Libra.  Jupiter, the planet of priests and religious ceremony, is the common denominator in the second and third eclipse Yods (and Grand Trines), symbolized by Pope Francis, head of the Roman Catholic Church.  With his Sun in Jupiter-ruled Sagittarius, he has done great good to promote world peace and harmony, much of which has likely been done in secret.  One exception is the public record of his role as mediator between the U.S. and Cuba in opening the doors of diplomacy and working towards normalizing relationships between the two countries.  In the second installment of the 2014-2015 Lunar Tetrad, we mentioned the possibility of Pope Francis being a sacrificial lamb in this drama, and this is a continuing concern.  He reputedly survived an assassination attempt in Turkey last November when he was building bridges between Christians and Muslims there.  Indeed, he did not renew the contract of the head of the Swiss Guard, his protection team, which came due just after the alleged attempt.  Pope Francis sets an example for all of us.  He is not out of danger, as TR Mars is applying to his Natal Uranus and TR Chiron is conjunct his Natal Saturn, which is in Grand Cross formation with the Sun, Neptune and Chiron.  His Natal Jupiter and Saturn are in mutual reception, but right now, both TR Jupiter and Saturn are retrograde, which limits their ability to protect him.  The danger should diminish when TR Mars separates from N Uranus after 4/8/15, the same day that TR Jupiter goes direct, but the danger returns on 12/21/16 when TR Saturn enters twenty-degrees Sagittarius, in opposition to the Pope's N Chiron and four degrees from his N Lunar SN.

The Key Issue

Although there are other important themes, the key issue of the 2014-2015 Lunar Tetrad is religious strife.  In the Second Millennium, two new world religions, Christianity and Islam, grew out of one of the world's oldest religions, Judaism.  These three major world religions have been referred to as "Religions of The Book," because of their mutual reliance on sacred, written records (the Torah, the Bible and the Koran).  The three Religions of the Book helped establish codes of behavior and ethics for humanity, but, unfortunately, all three have fallen prey to dissension, splintering off into competing branches that often openly undermine each other:  Catholics v. Protestants; Orthodox v. Conservative and Reform Jews; and Shiites v. Sunnis.  The savage attack on two Yemen Mosques on the March 20, 2015 Solar Eclipse is just one of many examples of the abominable atrocities going on right now in the world over religion.  This has to stop.  The two Yods and two Grand Trines in the two center Eclipses of the 2014-2015 Lunar Tetrad are pointing the way to change, but change is slow and must come from within.  This kind of change is probably going to take the whole Millennium and is not the only necessary change.

The Corporate Oligarchy

Consistent throughout the four Eclipses of the current LT is a Capricorn Pluto T-Square to the Sun and Moon.  This began in the first of the four Eclipses as the last remnant of the Cardinal Grand Cross in effect at the time in 2014 and ends on 9/28/2015 with a double T-Square.  Pluto in Capricorn symbolizes the corporate world, and the powerful Pluto T-Square to the two luminaries symbolizes the need for transformation.  Since 1819, under Dartmouth College v. Woodward, U.S. corporations have been given the same rights as you and I under the umbrella of the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment, including the First Amendment Right to Free Speech.  Clever manipulation of U.S. law since the late 1800's has resulted in the privilege of individual sovereignty for corporations, a privilege that has been used to avoid responsibility for everything from paying taxes to cleaning up toxic waste dumps.  This must change.  Moreover, the karmic debt created  by "scorched Earth" policies that allow CEOs to earn fabulous bonuses and "golden parachutes" will come due, just like a bank loan, and Saturn, the Lord of Karma, will collect what He is owed.

Saturn in Sagittarius

Perhaps the most important celestial event in the Third LT is the arrival of Sagittarius Saturn.  Saturn gets involved in the third Eclipse of the Tetrad as a leg of the Jupiter/Sun-Uranus/Saturn Grand Trine, and he is also present in the fourth Eclipse on September 28, 2015. The Grand Trine occurs in fire, the element of spirit, a clear sign of the presence of the Holy Spirit.  Jupiter rules fire-sign Sagittarius, and is helping his Father, Saturn, to effectuate a just solution to the problem of religious strife.  This is likely to escalate over the summer of 2015 when conflict comes to a head, culminating on or near Yom Kippur (9/22/2015) with a probable meltdown in the Middle East.  Sagittarius rules philosophy and higher learning, and there are many powerful souls pursuing higher ideals and justice, and trying to find a peaceful solution to this conflict.  Pope Francis will be working for the good of all humanity, and there are Light Workers everywhere advocating on their behalf.  To put it simply, humanity is having the "growing pains" necessary for evolution, and is collectively reaching for Higher Ground.

No one could say it better than the beloved American musician and songwriter, Stevie Wonder, in the chorus to his song, "Higher Ground":

I'm so darn glad he let me try it again
Cause my last time on earth I lived a whole world of sin
I'm so glad that I know more than I knew then
Gonna keep on tryin'
Till I reach my highest ground

The current Tetrad, and the others to come, are about growing and evolving.  There are violent forces of anger and intolerance festering now that must inevitably give way to Love.  Those who Love must be strong, vigilant and brave, for Love conquers all.

The Fourth Total Eclipse of the 2014 - 2015 Lunar Tetrad

September 28, 2015 2:50 a.m. GMT at 4-degrees Libra/Aries

"All Things Must Pass"

George Harrison

The fourth total eclipse of the Second Lunar Tetrad this Millennium occurs on September 28, 2015, five days after Yom Kippur ends.  The theme of the Tetrad, and for the Millennium, is emancipation of the human race from religious intolerance.  The 2014-2015 Tetrad began with a Cardinal Cross and ends with a double T-Square.  All four eclipses (4/15/14; 10/8/14; 4/4/15; and 9/28/15) share a Capricorn/Pluto T- Square to the Sun and Moon in Aries/Libra; Libra/Aries, symbolizing the target countries that are the focus of the conflict:

         Afghanistan (Aries Mars)

         Iraq (Aries Mars)

         Lebanon (Aries Mars)

         Saudi Arabia (Sun Libra)

         Syria (Sun Libra)

         Yemen (Sun Libra)

         Israel (Sun Libra)

         Libya (Sun Libra)

         Turkey (Sun Libra)

In the current eclipse, the Pluto T-Square is crossed by a Saturn T-Square to Mars and Neptune, forming a Seal of Solomon.  This is a powerful cosmic message.  Christians, Jews and Muslims all worship the One God, so why do we have to keep fighting with each other over how we worship?  One way or another, this has to stop.  Sadly, only one of the world's religions is attempting to take a leadership role in this crisis.  Pope Francis seems to be the only one.

This is the most important commandment handed down to us by Moses, yet we violate it over and over again by killing each other over the details of how we worship God.  This is anathema.  Pluto has been forcing change over the course of the Second Tetrad and it is likely to reach a boiling point on or about Yom Kippur, the Jewish high holy day, which occurs from sundown on September 22, 2015 to sundown on September 23, 2015.  Over the course of this four-part series, we have observed geological and political developments on planet Earth and there is a pattern of escalation.  Below is a list of key events that have occurred since the April 4, 2015 Eclipse:

Fortunately, there is hope in all the turmoil in that:  (1) the U.S. and Cuba are finally making progress towards restoring our suspended friendship; (2) the treaty with Iran is a stabilizing influence on the Middle East and a far preferable choice than war; (3) gay people now have the right to get married; and (4) after more than 100 years, the Confederate Flag was removed from State property in South Carolina, the first State to secede from the Union and the State where the first shot was fired by the Confederates in the Civil War.  Unfortunately, under Jupiter opposing Neptune, which culminated on September 17, 2015, the forces of bigotry and misplaced ideology continue to fester.

What is new in this eclipse is the Sagittarius Saturn T-Square to Mars in Virgo opposite Neptune in Pisces.  The three Zodiac signs invoke philosophy (Sagittarius), service (Virgo) and divine consciousness (Neptune in its own sign, Pisces).  The three signs are mutable and just go around in circles.  Neptune is in its own sign, or honor, and should be able to overrule Mars, but Pisces is not inclined to action, and certainly not aggressive enough to defeat Mars.  Saturn, Lord of Karma is trying to direct the planet of war (Mars) to serve (Virgo) the divine element in human nature (Neptune in Pisces), but Mars wants war.  Saturn in Sagittarius also symbolizes wisdom and humanity's need for wise men from each of the religions of the book to help us settle our differences and make peace with each other.  We need compassion and understanding (Sagittarius Saturn, Pisces Neptune), but Mars in hypercritical Virgo is on the attack.

The first eclipse in the Second Lunar Tetrad occurred under a Grand Cross; the last occurs under a double T-Square in the form of the Seal of Solomon.  The religious symbolism is clear and underscores the key issue of the Third Millennium:  The emancipation of humanity from the shackles of religious intolerance.  I believe this could take a very long time to achieve, just like it took centuries to battle the scourge of slavery (and this war is not yet over), but like George Harrison said, "All things must pass."  Whether it takes a century or the entire Millennium, the human race must get past the problem of religious intolerance.  The refugee crisis in Europe is just one example of how religious intolerance can ruin the lives of millions.

We are one race, the human race, and we are all interconnected on Planet Earth.  Without respect for our differences, religious or otherwise, we will be locked into endless conflict and war.  The Seal of Solomon in the Fourth Eclipse of the Second Lunar Tetrad is symbolic of the world's need for the wisdom of Moses,  Solomon and Yeshua.  The next Tetrad, the Third of Eight, does not occur for eighteen more years, or until 2032.  Hopefully, there will be some progress towards cooperation during this rest period.  One thing is certain.  Love is the most powerful force in the universe and the only thing that matters.  May the forces of light and love prevail in the coming years and always.
