AS ABOVE, SO BELOW
The great philosopher, Hermes Trismegistus, discovered that there are certain principles of operation of the universe. These principles are seven in number and are called The Seven Hermetic Principles after their inventor. The ancient science of astrology is based on one of these seven laws, the Law of Correspondence. The Seven Hermetic Principles are an example of à priori knowledge, or knowledge that is independent of time and experience. They are:
THE LAW OF SPIRIT - The universe consists of spirit, all form has its genesis in spirit.
THE LAW OF CORRESPONDENCE - As above, so below; as below, so above -- The microcosm is reflected in the macrocosm, and vice versa, the universal in the individual.
THE LAW OF OPPOSITES - We exist in the universe of Yin-Yang, dark/light, form/spirit. Every form has an opposite.
THE LAW OF VIBRATION - Everything is moving, nothing is static.
THE LAW OF HARMONY - The innate intent of all form is to function harmoniously.
THE LAW OF GENDER - Form is expressed in either the masculine or feminine sex.
THE LAW OF KARMA
- Every cause has an effect; every reaction has an equal and opposite
reaction,
you reap what you sow.
All form has its genesis in thought. Thoughts are things. Not only do thoughts affect the world of form, they create it! You can learn to better control and direct your thoughts through self-awareness. One of the best ways to know thyself is through astrology. Astrology is a collection of some of the greatest thoughts of humanity's most distinguished thinkers, which thoughts have been concentrated into principles such as those collected in Ptolemy's Tetrabiblios (Four Books). The principles of astrology are based on observation and à priori knowledge.
The horoscope is the soul's blueprint, our map for navigation through the realm of form. The stars are a reflection of the Great Spirit's intent and are meant to guide us on the path of incarnation.
